Break Free from Plastic
Humans currently produce more than 350 million metric tons of plastic waste per year. Without changes to current policies, global plastic waste generation is projected to triple by 2060, to a staggering one billion metric tons. What does that mean for our world, our health, and the future? How can we make changes as individuals? What opportunities do we have locally to learn more and do better?
A panel of local experts will address the topic of plastic pollution. The free event is Tuesday, July 2nd from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Fergus Falls Public Library. Cedar Walters (West Central Initiative), Clancy Oliphant (Otter Tail County) and Ibrahim Khan (Lake Region Healthcare) bring their unique expertise to the discussion. This event is free and open to the public.
