Chris has been diagnosed with Disseminated Histoplasmosis.  This is a fungal infection that you can get if you are a gardener, are out in the woods and around rotting wood, etc.  It has spread from his lungs into his kidneys, liver and spleen.  They have him on a specific, very expensive anti fungal antibiotic that he will have to take for at least 6 months up to a year.  His energy level is non existent.  He is very short of breath and coughing a lot and in a lot of pain.  It will be a long recovery with ups and downs.
