Digitizing Embroidery: Artist Talk and Workshop
Join Hinge Resident Artist (hosted by Springboard for the Arts), Jane Claire Remick from Washington D.C., for a short artist talk and workshop on digitizing embroidery. She will share her ongoing work and experimentation based on 19th century Mi-Atlantic American Samplers and contemporary factory-produced machine embroidery. Participants will be invited to collaborate on a "digital sampler." Don't worry: coding and design skills are not necessary to participate. When: Wednesday, March 30th, 5:00 - 6:30pm Where: Studio K (At the Kaddatz Gallery in Fergus Falls) Register: Workshop attendance is free! Please email jane.c.remick@gmail.com to RSVP so she can plan for enough people. What to bring: If you have a laptop, we encourage you to bring it, but it's not required.
