The Otter Tail County Historical Society and Fergus Falls Heritage Preservation Commission are sponsoring a tour of historic downtown Fergus Falls on Thursday, May 22, 6 pm.
Meet at Central Dam on South Cascade Street.
The cost is $10. No registration is needed.
In recent years Fergus Falls has invested in the revitalization of its downtown and riverfront. Spies Pavilion, the splash pad and the restoration of the Nationally Red Registered Red River Mill, has brought renewed interest and attention to the downtown corridor. Much of this is possible because downtown Fergus Falls retains much of its historic character. A wide array of architectural styles from Italianate to Art Deco are represented in the buildings. This tour takes you on a journey through the history of Fergus Falls as reflected in its buildings.
