Scouting for Food
A Scout promises “to help other people at all times.” There is no better way to show Scouting Spirit than the annual Scouting for Food drive! Scouting for Food is the nation’s largest food drive. The goal is to help feed the hungry of our communities. This is just one of the ways that Scouting shows their communities the Scouting values of being loyal, helpful, kind and cheerful. After the Scouts collect the food, they deliver it to local food pantries to help feed people in your local area. Scouts collected more than 37,697 pounds of food across the Northern Lights Council in 2021! Can't make it to Service Foods on March 19? Gate City Bank will have a box in their lobby to collect donations also through the end of March. If you have a son or daughter interested in Scouts, please reach out to Brenda Thomson at 320-760-5605. You can start Scouts at any age. No prerequisites needed!!
